Digitizing and Restoring your Prints, Slides and Negatives.
Let me guess. You’ve got dozens, maybe hundreds of old yellowing prints, going back to your childhood. They’re sitting in shoe boxes in your closet. Some of them are in rough shape. Perhaps you’ve got carousels of slides mouldering away in that same closet, or worse yet, in your basement. Perhaps you have some photo albums collecting dust. You’d love to digitize all of it, so you can share them with your family and friends, but you just don’t have the time. Sound familiar? Read on….
Scanning your print collection and adding the scans to your Photo Library will preserve your family memories and make them easy to share with others.
- Prints are scanned at 600 dpi, a resolution high enough so that you can make a print twice the size of the original.
- Keywords and captions may be added to help you search for photos.
- Slides and negatives (up to 120mm) are scanned on a top-of-the-line Nikon 9000 slide scanner.
- I’m an Adobe Certified Expert with professional skills at print restoration, retouching, and color correction.
- Prints in albums are sometimes more prone to deterioration than loose prints, due to the glues and chemicals used in the album manufacture. Smaller albums are scanned page by page. Larger albums will be photographed in studio, page by page.
