About
Hi, my name is Phil Scalia. Thanks for visiting. I’m a photographer, artist, website designer and educator. After transitioning to digital photography twenty years ago, I realized very quickly that I would need to come up with a naming and filing system for my photos or dwell in a state of permanent chaos. I started Evergreen Organizing in 2019 in order to help others deal with this same problem. I’m an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop, and use Adobe products – Lightroom and Bridge – to organize, rename and keyword photographic collections.

I’ve been a full-time photographer since 1983. Have a look at a selection of my stock agency work over the past few years. I am a recognized photographic artist in the region, with work in the Flat Files at Collar Works in Troy and in the gift shop at Munson-Williams-Proctor Art Institute in Utica, NY where I was a featured artist in 2019. In addition, I teach photography, Photoshop, and Adobe Elements to students from fifth grade to adult, and am on the artist roster of the Capitol Region BOCES Arts in Education.Â
